In honor of the release of "Halloween" tonight, here is Michael Myers as portrayed by Tyler Mane in "Halloween" directed by Rob Zombie.
Lets hope the film is decent!
And for those purists among us, here a version of the original 1978 Michael Myers from John Carpenter's "Halloween."

I watched the original last night, and we are going to see the Rob Zombie version tonight. I know that the "remake" won't hold a candle to the untouchable original, but I still want to see how Zombie handles things. The reviews I have been reading from both critics and horror buffs have been very much a love/hate sort of thing, so I am still apprehensive about it all. I think Rob just needs to settle down and quit focusing on over the top violence and gore (along with his signature naked ladies wherever he can fit them in) and make an attempt at focusing on setting up the suspense/scare factor and atmosphere. It would be nice to see a modern horror flick succeed in the scare department rather than the "vile" department. Great artwork as usual tho Scottra!!
I'm gonna check out the new Halloween this weekend. I hope it doesn't suck. I'm a bah-humbug type when it comes to new horror movies. Why do new horror movies suck? It's not the substitution of gore for suspense that bothers me. It's the utter lack of artistry.
