Captain Spaulding

Sid Haig was born Sidney Eddie Mosesian on July 14, 1939 in Fresno, California to Armenian parents. At a young age Sid developed an affinity for dancing. And by the age of seven he was dancing for pay children's doing shows and vaudeville revivals.

He would go on to star in such classics as "Spider Baby," "Foxy Brown," "Jackie Brown," and of course as Captain Spaulding in Rob Zombie's "House of 1000 Corpses." and "The Devil's Rejects."

Sid Haig is also a licensed hypnotherapist and practices in Simi Valley, California

An interesting piece of trivia:
The names of the villains in "House of 1000 Corpses" were taken from the names of Groucho Marx characters. ("Captain Spaulding", "Otis B. Driftwood", "Rufus T. Firefly" and "Hugo Z. Hackenbush", among others.) While this was left as a subtle allusion in the first movie, the sequel The Devil's Rejects brought it out into the open, with the names becoming integral to the plot.
