Anyone seriously interested should contact me at rob@scottra.com and I'll send you a link to a secret page where you can see all of the stuff I'll be posting over the next 2 weeks!
On to today's post...
William Henry "Bill" Pratt was born November 23, 1887 in East Dulwich, London, England. Orphaned in his youth, he was raised by his elder brothers and sister. Some time between 1909 and 1910 he changed his professional name to "Boris Karloff." He would go on to star in over 180 films.
What more can I write about Boris that I haven't in previous posts? I think he wins out slightly over Vincent Price as my favorite face to draw. Something in his eyes epitomizes my feelings towards monsters, the shear intensity mixed with ever present sadness.
I wish I could have met the man.
Spend a little of your Halloween time with a few rare tracks from Boris:
Stop over at Scar Stuff to grab a copy of "Tales of the Frightened" or "An Evening With Boris Karloff And His Friends" or swing by Mostly Ghostly Music Sharing to grab a copy of "Tales of Mystery and Imagination" featuring "The Legend Of Sleepy Hollow."
