Horror/Monster News Update

Boy oh boy have I been busy!

But here are a few interesting tidbits to keep you all up date...

Today is Stephen King's 59th Birthday, so Happy Birthday!

Dread Central has posted a couple of kick ass interviews...
You can listen to them or just read the transcripts:

George A. Romero talks about "Diary of the Dead"

Sara Karloff talks about her father's legacy as well as new DVD releases of his films, including Boris Karloff: Icons Of Horror Collection.

Next tuesday Sept. 26th will see the release of the 75th Anniversary Edition DVDs of Universal's "Frankenstein" and "Dracula." More info is available here.

And Speaking of Romero, this past wednesday saw the release of "George Romero's Night Of The Living Dead: Back From The Grave" and I have to tell you I was sadly disappointed, the comic was basically a short story followed by several full page reproductions of the upcoming art for the NOTLD prequel comic that is in the works. The comic comes off as what should have been a Free Comic Day freebie, but instead took $3.00 of my hard earned cash... such a shame too because it has sort of soured me on spending money on the prequel they tried so hard to promote.

In EVEN MORE George Romero news, The Horror Channel will be presenting 'An Evening with George Romero' Tuesday September 26th immediately following their broadcast of their hit series "Shadow Falls" This is a one hour session with the legendary director recorded live at the Capitol Center for the Arts in Concord, NH.

Jeebus! With all this Romero news hitting the interwebs this week you'd think it was HIS birthday!

And speaking of Shadow Falls, just in case you missed The Horror Channel's online series "Shadow Falls" you can still get caught up by watching the Prelude and Episode 1 right now.

The Ghouligans now have a DVD for sale, be sure to check it out!

Keith Milford of Old Haunts fame has recently updated Sir Graves Ghastly.com, adding a news section of Interviews and Articles, check that out here.

And Jason from Scar Stuff has been making a slew of updates recently, warming up for the Holiday Season! Be sure to pay him a visit!
