The Ghoul

The other highlight of this past weekends Motor City Comic Con, (other then meeting Guy Davis and having him do a free sketch of the B.P.R.D.'s Roger) was finally meeting The Ghoul. Not only meeting him but having him end up being a genuinely nice guy. Unlike some of the other guests who were there trying to make a quick buck charging little kids to take a picture or to sign an autograph, and really coming off as not giving a shit about the fans who got them where they are... The Ghoul was right there talking to kids both young and old and handing out free autographs on pictures he brought to give away.
If only we could get him back on t.v. in Detroit, then I'd be a truly happy monster kid!

Easily one of the best portraits you've done. I'm sure the Ghoul will be thrilled when he sees it.
I'm not familiar with the ghoul, but this is a fine portrait.
Well thanks you guys, sadly I never heard anything at all from him...
In other, happier news, I finished my portrait of Boris Karloff as the Frankenstein monster, and sent it off to his daughter Sara, and she replied almost instantly to let me know that she loved it. I am aching to post it here but I can't until after it is published in Scary Monsters for the 75th anniversary of Frankenstein special issue this fall. But you may be able to get a sneak peak at it by visiting the page they made for me at the official Karloff site, currently the portrait of Imhotep I did is up, but I think they will be posting the Frankenstein Monster soon.
